Schläfli domiciled in Büren an der Aare in the canton of Bern, Switzerland is producing unique machines to finish outer and inner diameter of hard material workpieces. The main products are: Wire-honing machines for serial processing of small cylindrical bores in the ID range of 0.05 – 2.00 mm, Centerless grinding machine for serial, accurate grinding of outer diameters and concentricity in the range of 0.500 – 12.000 mm, and Machines for the precise and efficient grinding of concave and convex shapes and to bore through and blind holes in to hard material. Clever peripheral equipment and tooling complement the range of products.

History
The history of Schläfli began in the early sixties of the twentieth century in Büren an der Aare as supplier to the watch industry. The former owner and founder of the company was aware of the constraints of the available machines and started to develop its own machines to work the ruby bearings. Other suppliers heard about his developments and soon the machines were known and popular in the whole watchmaking industry. Due to the great demand the company focused its activity more and more on building machines.
1990 the company was taken over by a son of the original owner and transformed in a private stock company. In the years that followed Schläfli entered the global market and succeeded soon .
Today Schläfli is an internationally active and known for its excellent products and services. 2015 a new generation took the lead making the company ready for the future.
