Field of application
This automatic machine is designed to control and sort tubes / cases and similar turned parts according to their length, with a maximum speed of 2'000 mm/min and a accuracy of 0.02 mm.

Description
The automatic measuring machine CL-309 is a table-top model. The following items are arranged on a base plate measuring 400 x 650 x 20 mm: a vibrator, the automatic feed and transport system, the two sets of adjustable light beams, two containers to catch the sorted pieces and a complete control and display unit.
Function
Before the measuring operation can be started, the machine is made ready for use by inserting a part which has been previously measured by a micrometer. The required tolerance is then set. This is followed by the adjustment of the light beams which are adjusted to the diameter of the parts. The parts which are positioned at the exit of the vibrator are now brought into the relevant measuring position via the conveyor belt. When the parts reach the second set of light beams, the measuring procedure starts automatically. The measurements are carried out taking the required tolerance into account and the results are to be found on the control and display unit. This shows immediately whether good or faulty parts are being tasted. The machine now automatically measures and sorts the parts and deposits them in the relevant collecting baskets. lf no parts are tested during a certain period of time, either because the circular conveyor is empty or because of a foreign part blocking the conveyor system, a warning light illuminates and the measuring machine switches over to the waiting position.
